Funny Farm
What is "Funny Farm"?
Funny Farm was founded by the Franklin Family, responding to community needs. They knew someone needed to provide quality christian experiences for school aged children, who otherwise may not have had the chance to visit a farm or participate in extra-curricular life learning. Creative rural experience and animals empower children to explore in order to grow and learn. Kids need to know how to make good choices, behave well, feel confident and special. Learning to respect animals, environment and each other is just part of what happens when kids step onto the Farm.
Many children from cities and villages have never touched a llama, ridden a horse, brushed a donkey or held a newborn chick. These childhood fantasies become realities when you help us reach kids! With years of experience working with school boards, children’s agencies and parents, the Franklins have seen positive results in the lives of children. Anyone that knows the Franklin Farm can attest to their strong faith and sacrifice of their farm and hours in the day for the love of kids and animals. Their animals love kids too! The Franklins made it their life’s work to show children how special they are, and help them develop life skills that make them strong and confident in their future endeavours. In 2005, with their Board of Directors help, the Farm became a registered children’s charity with the Canada Revenue Agency. They haven't looked back since. Farmtown and the Funny Farm needs YOU.
