Financial Donations

Financial Donations for Animals and Kids

At Funny Farm and Farmtown Canada we are absolutely thrilled and amazed each year by the individuals and groups who decide to stand with us financially. Yet the most critical challenge to our mission and program provision is finances. The good news is we can all help overcome this challenge together! As our financial foundation relies on the generosity of individuals, families and businesses, we need you to help pay the bills and keep the lights on in the barn (so to speak). You can make the difference between a waiting list for a child, or care for an animal.

Financial Need All Year ‘Round

Our work with children, animals, families and community runs all summer, fall, winter and spring.  Counselling, week night, and weekend programs have us busy year round. Whether you can help a little, a lot, one time, or with monthly giving, we are grateful for the support each financial contribution brings to the children and animals of Funny Farm at Farmtown Canada year round. Many of our supporters have started raising awareness by proudly wearing our clothing line, handing out cards or pamphlets, or just remembering to mention our name. Saying something to friends, family, in a business meeting work… that is part of what is needed to realize our vision. That can help us continue to serve the children and families in our community through rural hands-on interaction that is life giving and
life changing.

Sponsoring Kids

Please scroll down if you wish to donate to kids.

Giving your dollars makes sense when it helps bring kids and animals together responding to community needs. Camp, program, and day-to-day expenses. Paying for liability insurance to run camps and programs, facility and specialized equipment rentals, program resources such as photocopying curriculum, craft materials, books, and booklets for kids, are all supported by donations. We also need to make sure we can keep up to date with all of the safety equipment for barns and program facilities. Daily care of the animals for their housing, enclosures, repairs to stalls and pasture environments, feeders, water-ers, feed, bedding, veterinary care, vaccinations, worming products and more means kids and animal interaction is healthy and happy for both parties!  And don’t forget hydro, telephone and internet uses for the kids and their families too.  Parents that can afford it pay what they can, however we do not turn children away because of financial reasons whenever possible!  Please watch for our yearly camp sponsorship campaign and help send a child to camp.

Sponsoring Animals

Please scroll down if you wish to donate to animals.

Sponsoring animals is not just limited to corporations, groups, and school classrooms. Families and individuals are given the  opportunity to support the "life" of our programs, the animals.  Please contact us to help maintain a specific animal (costing between $1,000 to $3,500 yearly), with special accolade and recognition. Remember, your sponsorship will maintain one special animal of your choice for one year.

Supporting Events

Are you someone with lots of energy and bright ideas?  Then talk to us about starting and running a new event.  Many groups, agencies and businesses take on their own fundraising initiatives to support the work of Farmtown Canada’s Funny Farm. Think you might be interested in running your own event , then let’s get started.  Just give us a call and thank you for choosing to make an investment of your time, and energy into the lives of our Funny Farm kids and animals!
