Animals

Farmtown Canada's Animals

Farmtown Canada is home to a wide variety of animals for you to enjoy at our rustic site or yours. Our 1850 log cabin is a great spot to visit after meeting all the herd! Our animals are handled and trained to get along well with each other and children and play a very important role at not only our summer Camps, but our group sessions, counselling, community festivals and tourism days.

Come see for yourself by finding the right program, camp or open house. Meanwhile, visit the different animals we use to help kids: talk, ask questions, interact, and learn. Animals provide therapeutic benefits, keep kids attention, and offer life lessons. They also empower kids to be responsible, feel unconditional love, and set and meet goals.

At our camps and programs kids explore farm life with the animals. Along with learning about themselves and others, they learn about agriculture, the environment, and communication. Safe hands-on experiences, crafts, games and activities are age appropriate and geared to physical, social and emotional levels.

Whether you are a daycare provider, parent (from toddlers to middle school), a group leader, a teacher, a grandparent or a foster parent, there is something for everyone when it comes to our animals. Having a variety of animals of all shapes and sizes allows children of all ages to visit and interact!

All of our animals are vet inspected and have been vaccinated. There are hand sanitizers on site for public use.

Haflinger Horses

They are ideal mounts for both disabled and able bodies, first time, or experienced riders. You cannot miss their beautiful gold coats with eye catching thick and flowing white mains and tails.
